DOT GANG
P-Dot [born Pamela Willis] is a femcee/indie artist hailing from Detroit, MI. She debuted locally with her breakout mixtape “Who Is It?” [2014], the lead single “Something 2 Ride 2,” garnered her local praise and acclaim as one of the next to watch in Detroit. P-Dot is the last of a dying breed, from the golden era of Detroit Hip-Hop/Rap alongside D12, East Side Chedda Boyz, Rock Bottom Entertainment, Slum Village, and Street Lord’z.
Having gotten her start with Live Action Entertainment at age 14; P-Dot became a neighborhood and school sensation amongst her peers [Dwele, Elzhi, K-Deezy [Street Lord'z]], who witnessed her legendary freestyle sessions with other students in the lunchroom and school gym; under the then aforementioned monikers of “P.A.M.” and/or “The Punisher.” Her inspiration stems from the likes of MC Lyte, Roxanne Shante, Queen Latifah, Lady of Rage, Mia X, Remy Ma, and Rapsody. Her biggest inspiration comes from the memory of her mother [Debra Willis], who passed in 2010. Her story is about grit & grind while surviving the streets of Detroit, MI. She believes her success is a by-product of her hustle & muscle to get it out the mud.
P-Dot, also attended Specs Howard -- School of Broadcasting Art to help with her pursuit of a career in music and entertainment. From there, P-Dot continued to release music via “Pushing My Pen,” [2016] and “Body & Barz” [2017], respectfully, with “Point of No Return,” “Wuddup Doe,” and “2 Sides,” being standouts from those projects.
The success of the latter two, afforded her opportunities to open up for the likes of Mobb Deep, Iggy Azalea, Payroll Giovanni [DBCO], Da Brat, Lil Flip, Lil Scrappy & Trillville, and a host of others. Consequently, opportunities with BYLUG Entertainment, Grand Hustle Records, and Roc Nation soon followed. But, ultimately she decided to remain indie.
P-Dot has not only made a name for herself in Detroit, but throughout the Midwest, and she is currently working on building a national buzz as well. Having been featured in/on several major platforms and media outlets ranging from:
